Steel balustrade with horizontal infill

The workhorse of the range: a fully welded steel balustrade with square posts, a wide flat handrail and evenly spaced horizontal bars in square-section steel. It suits almost anywhere a guard is needed, from internal landings and mezzanines to terraces, walkways, pool surrounds and the tops of retaining walls. Square section gives crisp architectural lines, and the deep handrail sits solidly in the hand.

Standard or denser spacing

As standard the infill is 20 x 20 mm square steel bars with a clear gap of no more than 100 mm, and a denser layout with smaller gaps is made on request. Tell us where the balustrade will stand and who will use it, and we advise on the spacing. If horizontal infill is not the right choice for your location, we will point you to a better option from the range.

Made to measure, configured to your project

The price shown covers a straight 2000 mm section at 1000 mm height. Every balustrade is fabricated to your plan: any run length, corners, returns and stepped levels, with post spacing set so the fixing plates land on sound fixing points. Prefer glass? A glass infill can be specified instead of bars and is priced separately.

Construction and materials

• Square posts and flat handrail in structural steel
• Horizontal square-section bars at even spacing
• Steel fixing plates welded to the posts, pre-drilled for anchors; the views show them side-mounted
• Welds cleaned and ground before finishing

Finish

Powder coating in any RAL colour. For outdoor runs we recommend hot-dip galvanising, plain or with a powder-coated top layer in your colour, for a long service life.

Anchors depend on the substrate: concrete, steel and timber each need a different fixing, so we recommend the right one and agree it with you before production. Side mounting is standard; top mounting is available on request.

Collect your order free of charge from our workshop, or choose delivery in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom at the flat rate shown at checkout (for the UK, import VAT and duty are paid on arrival); delivery to other countries is by quotation. Products ordered in the shop are ready for collection within 7 weeks of your order, or delivered in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom, or by courier in Germany, within 9 weeks, if our order confirmation reaches you by the end of the second working day after your order and you pay within 7 days of receiving it; if it reaches you later, these times run from the day your payment arrives.
