This industrial shelving unit pairs a welded steel frame with five solid wood shelves. The uprights are steel angle profile, welded into two side ladders and braced at the back by an X of flat steel instead of a back panel, so light passes through.

The frame is welded rather than bolted. It suits books, records, tools or crockery at home, and heavier profile sections with extra bracing can be ordered for workshop loads. It is freestanding on adjustable feet; wall-fixing brackets are available on request.

The standard format is 1000 x 400 x 1800 mm (width x depth x height) with five shelves. Width, depth, height, shelf count and spacing are made to order, also as multi-bay runs that form a continuous storage wall. The frame is powder-coated in any RAL colour, with matte black RAL 9005 as the house standard. The boards have a hardwax-oil finish.

Welded steel frame, real wood boards

The Industrial Steel Shelving Unit is built the way warehouse racking used to be: angle-profile steel uprights welded into two rigid side ladders, tied together and stiffened by an X of flat steel bracing across the back. Five solid wood shelf boards sit captive in the frame. Because the frame is welded rather than bolted, the unit stands square and stays square. Load it with books, records, tools or crockery and nothing racks or leans.

The standard unit measures 1000 mm wide, 400 mm deep and 1800 mm high with five shelves. Every unit is fabricated to order, so the format is yours to define:

Materials and construction

Uprights and shelf bearers are welded steel angle profile; the rear X-brace is flat steel bar, welded in tension so the unit resists sideways sway without needing a back panel. Light passes through and the shelving reads as a frame, not a cabinet. Adjustable foot faces take up uneven floors. The unit is freestanding as delivered; for households with children we supply discreet wall-fixing brackets on request.

Finish

The frame is shot-blasted and powder-coated in the RAL colour of your choice. Matte black (RAL 9005) is the house standard shown in the pictures. Shelf boards are solid wood with a hardwax-oil finish; other species or full-steel plate shelves are available for workshop and garage use.

Each unit is fabricated to order.
