Garden Swing with U-Shaped Steel Frame

A frame reduced to three lines

The Garden Swing with U-Shaped Steel Frame is built from two upright posts and one straight top beam, welded into a single rigid U. The clean outline works against a hedge, along a wall or out in the open. The long top beam carries several hanging points, so one frame can hold a round nest seat and a plank seat beside it. The plain U frame is the main version of this swing.

The additional image in the gallery shows a variant of the same frame: the ends are drawn as portals with repeated vertical members at each side, and two individual woven bowl seats hang side by side under the beam. The repeated members give the frame a rhythm and a stronger presence in the garden, and two separate seats let two people swing without sharing a seat.

The frame stays open above the seats. The seats are drawn to show one possible arrangement. We supply the frame; the nest seat and plank seat are priced separately and available by quotation.

What we agree with you before production

• the frame version: the plain U, or the portal concept with repeated side members,
• the frame size: 3000 mm wide and 2200 mm high as standard, other sizes made to measure for the seats you want,
• the sections of the posts and the beam: 100 x 100 x 4 mm square steel tube in the standard frame, set for the span in other sizes,
• the hanging points and the suspension hardware,
• base plates on footings, or posts set into the ground, set for your site,
• which seats we supply, and which hanging points are meant for a seat you already own.

Finish

Powder coating in the RAL colour you choose. Because the frame stands outside all year, the corrosion protection and the coating system are chosen for that use and agreed with you before production, together with the RAL colour. Matte black and anthracite disappear into planting, while a bright colour turns the swing into a feature.

We confirm your order within 2 working days without changing the price or the delivery cost, and you pay by bank transfer after our confirmation; if you are unsure, ask before ordering. Products ordered in the shop are ready for collection within 7 weeks of your order, or delivered in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom, or by courier in Germany, within 9 weeks, if our order confirmation reaches you by the end of the second working day after your order and you pay within 7 days of receiving it; if it reaches you later, these times run from the day your payment arrives.
