Steel Firewood Rack

Firewood within reach, off the floor

The Steel Firewood Rack stands beside a fireplace, a wood stove or on the terrace next to a fire pit and keeps a stack of split logs where you need them. The frame is open at the front and back, so the logs dry in the air and are easy to take out, and three rails at the bottom keep them off the floor.

It goes with our fire pits, such as the Square Steel Fire Pit on Block Legs, and with any fireplace or stove in the house. Keep the rack and its logs at the distance from the stove or fireplace that its manual gives for combustible materials.

Standard size and made to measure

The standard rack is 600 mm wide, 300 mm deep and 1000 mm high. Every rack is welded to order, so you can also choose:

• another width, depth or height, for example to fill an alcove beside the chimney
• a shelf at the top for kindling and matches
• wider feet for use away from a wall

Materials and construction

• Rectangular steel profile 30 x 20 x 2 mm, fully welded and ground
• Open front and back; three bottom rails keep the logs off the floor
• Capped feet with protective pads

Finish

The steel is shot-blasted and powder coated in one RAL colour of your choice; matt black (RAL 9005) as in the pictures and anthracite (RAL 7016) are our house standards. Textured or metallic powder coats and, for a coastal or very exposed site, hot-dip galvanising before powder coating are options priced in a quotation.

Wall fixing

A tall, narrow rack should be fixed to the wall it stands against. A small flat bracket is welded to the back of the top frame, and we supply fixings to suit the wall you name in the order comment at checkout: masonry, concrete or a timber stud wall. For use away from a wall, ask for a quotation with wider feet.

Order the standard version at the price shown, or ask for a quotation for your own dimensions and finish. The price shown is for the standard version described here, with the steel powder coated in one RAL colour of your choice, which you name in the order comment at checkout; other sizes, materials, special finishes and options are priced in a quotation. An order placed in the shop commits you to pay once we have confirmed it. We confirm your order within 2 working days without changing the price or the delivery cost, and you pay by bank transfer after our confirmation. Lead time and delivery

Each rack is welded to order. Products ordered in the shop are ready for collection within 7 weeks of your order, or delivered in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom, or by courier in Germany, within 9 weeks, if our order confirmation reaches you by the end of the second working day after your order and you pay within 7 days of receiving it; if it reaches you later, these times run from the day your payment arrives.Collect your order free of charge from our workshop in Piotrowice, or choose delivery in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom at the flat rate shown at checkout (for the UK, import VAT and duty are paid on arrival); delivery to other countries is by quotation.
