This square fire pit is cut from 10 mm S235JR structural steel plate and welded into one piece, with no bolts and no assembly. It stands low on four short welded block legs, so air moves under the base, and vents in the walls feed air to the fire.

Continuous welds run along every seam, ground where visible. The pit sits as well on a modern terrace as in a country garden, and the standard size suits a small group around the fire.

The standard size is 700 x 700 mm, 400 mm deep and about 520 mm tall overall on 120 mm legs. You can also ask for a larger or smaller body, a rectangular trough for a big seating circle, a different overall or leg height, or a grill grate made to fit. The finish is raw steel or a heat-resistant black coating.

The pit arrives as one finished piece, with a weld inspection before handover and care notes for the finish. Order the standard size at the price shown and name your finish in the order comment at checkout; for another size, ask for a quotation, and we reply within 24 hours on working days.

A fire pit built like architecture

The Square Steel Fire Pit on Block Legs is not a stamped bowl in thin sheet. The body is cut from 10 mm structural steel plate and welded into one rigid piece. It stands low on four short welded block legs, which gives it a calm, weighty presence and lets air move under the base.

Vents in the walls feed air to the embers, so logs catch quickly and burn evenly with little smoke. The thick plate holds heat for a long time and takes years of fires and every kind of weather in its stride. It looks equally at home on a modern terrace or in a country garden.

Made to measure for your garden

The standard size is 700 x 700 mm with a 400 mm depth, about 520 mm tall overall on 120 mm legs. That is a comfortable size for a small group around the fire. Every pit is welded to order, so you can choose:

a larger or smaller body,
an elongated, rectangular trough for a large seating circle,
a different overall or leg height,
a grill grate made to fit the pit.

Finish

Raw steel weathers within a few weeks to an even, deep-brown patina that needs no care. Or choose a heat-resistant black coating for a uniform matte look from day one. The fire zone runs far too hot for ordinary powder coating, so surfaces in contact with the fire only ever get a high-temperature finish.
