What finish is best for an outdoor steel railing?

Outdoors, the most durable finish is hot-dip galvanising, which also protects the inside of the sections, with a powder coat in your chosen RAL colour on top. You can also leave the railing in its natural silver zinc finish. Matt black RAL 9005 and anthracite RAL 7016 are the most popular choices next to modern windows.
