Spiral Staircase in Welded Steel

Two floors, one square metre and a bit

The Spiral Staircase packs a full storey of climb into a footprint not much larger than its own diameter. A central steel tube column carries folded flat-steel treads that fan around it; vertical rod balusters rise from each tread to a continuous round-tube handrail that sweeps the outer edge in one unbroken curve. The column lands on a wide anchored base plate, so the stair stands rigid without wall fixing. It can sit in a corner, against a wall or free in the middle of a room.

Made to measure: built to your floor height

The base configuration is 1700 mm in diameter with 18 steps over a 3330 mm floor-to-floor height and 432° of rotation. A spiral stair only works when the rise is divided exactly, so each one is fabricated to your measurements:

• Any floor-to-floor height: tread count and rotation recalculated for an even, comfortable rise
• Diameters from compact 1300 mm loft stairs to generous 2000 mm main staircases
• Left- or right-hand climb, with the entry and exit steps oriented to your floor plan
• Landing platform matched to your floor opening, with balustrade to close the well
• Tread infill options: plain, perforated or timber overlays on request

Materials and construction

The staircase is welded from steel S235JR. The central column is a heavy-wall steel tube on a drilled base plate; treads are folded from flat steel with a welded riser bar at the nose for stiffness and a closed, solid look. Balusters are solid steel rods, welded top and bottom, and the handrail is rolled from round tube to the exact helix of your stair, no segmented facets. All welds are ground clean before finishing.

Finish

Shot-blasted and powder-coated in the RAL colour of your choice. Matte black (RAL 9005) as shown and anthracite (RAL 7016) are the house standards; any other RAL shade costs the same. The coating suits interiors and covered exteriors; a zinc-primed system for fully exposed outdoor stairs is available on request.

Each staircase is fabricated to order. Products ordered in the shop are ready for collection within 7 weeks of your order, or delivered in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom, or by courier in Germany, within 9 weeks, if our order confirmation reaches you by the end of the second working day after your order and you pay within 7 days of receiving it; if it reaches you later, these times run from the day your payment arrives.It is ordered through a quotation: ask for one from this page with your floor-to-floor height and the space you have available, and the base configuration is quoted at the price shown.
