Is top-mounted or side-mounted balustrade fixing better?

Top fixing, on the balcony slab or on the steps, is the simplest and most common. Side fixing to the slab edge leaves the whole floor clear and avoids drilling through the tiles, so it suits narrow balconies and freshly finished terraces well. We make both versions, and the choice depends on the thickness and condition of the slab and the floor build-up.
