French Balcony with Vertical Bars

A window you can open wide, safely

The French Balcony with Vertical Bars turns a floor-to-ceiling window or upstairs French doors into a safe place to let the fresh air in. It is a single welded panel with a square-section frame, a broad flat capped handrail and vertical infill in square section. The square bars give a sharper, more contemporary line than traditional round rods.

The panel fixes to the facade on face-fix plates on both sides of the opening, set identically left and right. The broad handrail is comfortable under hands and elbows, which makes this model a natural choice for doors where you like to stand with a morning coffee.

Choose your infill spacing

The infill comes in two spacings: a denser one with a calm, closed texture, and a more open one that feels lighter. As standard the bars are 12 x 12 mm with a clear gap of no more than 100 mm; we make the denser spacing on request, taking into account where the balcony is going and who will use the window.

Made to measure for your opening

The base size is 1500 mm wide and 1100 mm high. Every balcony is built for a specific opening, and the bar spacing is recalculated for each width so the end gaps stay even.

Steel or welded aluminium

• Steel version: S235JR structural steel, hot-dip galvanised for exposed facades and powder-coated in any RAL colour
• Aluminium version: we weld aluminium, which does not rust like steel and needs no galvanising, and powder-coat it on request
• All welds ground and dressed before finishing
• Mounting plates pre-drilled for facade anchors

Anchors are chosen for your wall build-up, because brick, concrete and insulated facades each need a different fixing. Exact size and finish are confirmed before fabrication.

We confirm your order within 2 working days without changing the price or the delivery cost, and you pay by bank transfer after our confirmation; if you are unsure, ask before ordering. Collect the balcony free of charge from our workshop, or choose delivery in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom at the flat rate shown at checkout (for the UK, import VAT and duty are paid on arrival); delivery to other countries is by quotation.
