This indoor hanging chair comes with its own freestanding steel stand, so it needs no ceiling hook and no drilling overhead. A single round steel tube, bent in one continuous arc and welded to a closed ring base, carries the hanging egg chair on one suspension point at the tip of the arm.

The ring lies flat on the floor or a rug, with no legs sticking out into the walkway. The chair hangs inside the footprint of the base, and its single suspension point lets it turn freely and rock gently. It is made for interiors and also suits a covered terrace.

The reference stand size is 1200 x 1100 x 2000 mm, with a seat height of about 1000 mm; the egg-style chair is approx. 760 mm in diameter. We can raise the arm, widen the ring or lower the suspension. The stand is powder coated in the RAL colour of your choice.

The stand, the suspension set and the chair with seat cushion are included. A hanging chair that needs nothing from your ceiling

The joy of a hanging chair usually dies at the ceiling joist. This one needs nothing overhead. A single steel tube sweeps up from a closed ring base, arcs over the seat and carries the chair on one suspension point, so it turns freely and rocks gently. The whole piece is freestanding, which means it moves from the living room to a covered balcony in one carry and without tools.

Cantilever arm on a ring base

The ring spreads the load around a wide perimeter and lies flat on the floor or a rug, with no legs sticking out into the walkway. The chair hangs inside the footprint of the base, and the arc of the arm is a calm, sculptural line that looks good even when nobody is sitting in it.

Made to measure

We weld every stand to order, so the geometry is yours to decide. The reference size is 1200 x 1100 x 2000 mm with a seat height of about 1000 mm. We can raise the arm for more swing, widen the ring for a thick rug or lower the suspension for children.

Finish

Powder coating in the RAL colour of your choice. For interiors we suggest a fine matt or satin finish, and the same coating is at home on a covered terrace.
