Children's A-Frame Garden Swing
This children's garden swing stands on a steel frame welded in one piece: two A-frames of steel tube and a top beam, without bracing. A timber plank seat hangs on two ropes from welded mounts in the beam.
Because the A-frames and the top beam are welded rather than bolted, the seat is the only part you fit on site. The open sides make the swing look light, so it does not dominate the garden.
The default frame is 1800 x 1500 x 2000 mm; frame height and beam length can be set to your space and the children's ages, and a longer beam for two seats is available on request. The finish is powder coating in any RAL colour, or hot-dip galvanising where the swing stays out all winter; a galvanised frame can also be powder-coated on top.
Each leg is held by a ground anchor set in a concrete footing of about 300 x 300 x 500 mm, with its top at or below ground level; the swing needs level ground at least 2 m from any wall, fence or tree, never over paving or concrete. The seat is a 450 x 170 mm timber plank on two ropes for one child up to 50 kg, aged 3 to 14, and the frame is welded from Ø 60 x 3 mm steel tube. Order the default size at the price shown; for the space you have and who will be swinging, ask for a quotation, and we propose the proportions. We reply within 24 hours on working days.
Welded, not bolted
The usual garden swing is a kit of tubes held together with bolts, and every one of those bolts is a joint that loosens over a summer of use. This frame is welded in one piece: the A-frames are welded, the top beam is welded, and the only thing you fit on site is the seat. The sides stay open, without bracing, so the swing looks light and does not dominate the garden.
A timber plank seat on two ropes
The classic plank seat hangs on two ropes from welded mounts in the beam. Timber is pleasant to the touch and does not heat up in the sun the way metal does, and the hanging height is easy to set to the child.
A frame built to your garden
The default frame is 1800 x 1500 x 2000 mm, and it can be made to measure. Frame height and beam length are set to the space and the age of the children: a swing hung too high needs a longer arc than a small garden has. Send the space you have and who will be swinging, and we propose the proportions. A longer beam for two seats is available on request.
Who it is for
This is a swing for families who want to buy once. A steel frame does not rot like timber or crack like plastic, and years later it can be refreshed with a new coating or handed down to younger siblings. The seat plank is easy to swap when the children outgrow it.
