Does a swing need to be anchored?

Question published 54 views
It depends on the frame. Children's swings are always anchored in concrete: the Kids Garden Swing has all four legs anchored in concrete, and the Children's A-Frame Garden Swing has one ground anchor per leg in a concrete footing of about 300 x 300 x 500 mm, on level ground at least 2 m from any wall, fence or tree and never over paving or concrete. The Arc Steel Hammock Stand stands freely on its two floor beams without anchoring, on firm, level ground with 1 m clear around it. The Hanging Chair with Steel Tripod Stand stands on three foot pads on a firm, level floor, with ground pegs or screw-down plates on request. For the other frames, such as the bench swings and the U-frame swing, the fixing depends on where the frame stands and what it stands on, so it is set for your site: tell us the ground, whether grass, paving, concrete or decking, and how the frame will be used, and we agree the fixing method and the fixings with you before production. Use a frame only once it is fixed as specified.
