Can you cook on a steel fire pit?

Yes. Our steel fire pit with grill grate has a removable grate welded from solid steel flat bar with a raised handle arm, so you can lift it off the embers without burning yourself. The grate is left as bare steel, the right choice for cooking over a live fire, and it cleans up with a brush. We can also make a grate to fit the fire pit on block legs and the bowl on a tubular stand.
