What size fire pit should I choose?

Our standard 700 x 700 mm fire pit is a comfortable size for a small group around the fire, and the 600 x 600 mm bowl works well on a patio or in a smaller garden. For a large circle of seats we make a bigger or elongated rectangular body. Height matters too: a low bowl suits lounge chairs, a taller stand suits standing around the fire.
