The Spider Table Base is a central steel base for a dining table top you already have. Eight angled arms in 80 x 40 x 2 mm steel box section meet in one welded hub: four rise to the top frame and four spread to wide-set feet.

The standard base is 1400 x 740 mm and 720 mm high, for wooden tops of 1800 to 2200 mm and 30 to 50 mm thick. Order the base at the price shown and give your top size in the order comment at checkout; you pay after our order confirmation.

A spider base for the top you already own

You have the top: a live-edge oak slab, a walnut plank, a table top from another table. What it needs is a base that carries it steadily and leaves the edges free. The Spider Table Base does that with one central structure: eight angled steel arms that meet in a welded hub and spread to four wide-set feet.

It follows the same design idea as the base of our Spider Leg Dining Table, here sold without a top and sized for a top you supply.

Standard size and made to measure

The standard base is 1400 mm long, 740 mm wide and 720 mm high, with a 1400 x 740 mm top frame, which suits wooden tops of 1800 to 2200 mm by 900 to 1000 mm and 30 to 50 mm thick. Every base is welded to order, so you can also choose:

another length for shorter or longer tops
another height, for example for a bar or a coffee table
any RAL colour instead of matt black

Materials and construction

Arms: steel box section 80 x 40 x 2 mm, fully welded at the hub and ground
Top frame: square steel tube 40 x 40 x 2 mm
Six welded mounting plates 80 x 80 x 5 mm with slotted holes, so a wooden top can move with the seasons
Four capped feet with protective floor pads
Welded in one piece, no assembly of the base

Stone or sintered-quartz tops are heavier and stiffer than wood: for such a top, ask before ordering, giving its size and thickness, and we advise on the fixing.

Finish

The base is powder coated in one RAL colour of your choice; matt black (RAL 9005) as in the pictures is the house standard. Textured or metallic powder coats are options priced in a quotation.

The price shown is for the standard version described here, with the steel powder coated in one RAL colour of your choice, which you name in the order comment at checkout; other sizes, materials, special finishes and options are priced in a quotation. An order placed in the shop commits you to pay once we have confirmed it. We confirm your order within 2 working days without changing the price or the delivery cost, and you pay by bank transfer after our confirmation. Lead time and delivery

Each base is welded to order. Products ordered in the shop are ready for collection within 7 weeks of your order, or delivered in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom, or by courier in Germany, within 9 weeks, if our order confirmation reaches you by the end of the second working day after your order and you pay within 7 days of receiving it; if it reaches you later, these times run from the day your payment arrives.Collect your order free of charge from our workshop in Piotrowice, or choose delivery in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom at the flat rate shown at checkout (for the UK, import VAT and duty are paid on arrival); delivery to other countries is by quotation.
