Atelier Upholstered Bed on a Steel Frame

Steel you can see, softness you can feel

In most upholstered beds the steel hides under the fabric. In Atelier it is on show. A frame of square steel sections, welded in our workshop and powder coated in matt black, draws the outline of the bed: straight legs, headboard posts and a rail running round the mattress. Into that frame we fit upholstered panels: two soft, full cushions in the headboard and slim padded bands along the sides and the foot.

The upholstery is made by the upholsterer we work with, so every bed combines a welded structure with properly finished fabric. There is open space under the bed, which makes cleaning easy and keeps the bedroom feeling light.

A Premium design

We build our upholstered beds in two versions. In Classic the sides and headboard have a chipboard body on a welded steel mattress frame, while in Premium we weld the whole side structure from steel. In Atelier the steel structure is what gives the bed its look, so this design is made only in the Premium version: the legs, headboard posts, sides and mattress frame are all welded steel.

Three mattress sizes

We make Atelier for one of three mattress sizes:

• 160 × 200 cm
• 180 × 200 cm
• 200 × 200 cm

The standard outer dimensions are 170 / 190 / 210 x 212 cm for a 160 / 180 / 200 cm mattress, with the headboard 110 cm from the floor; other headboard heights are made to measure, to suit your bedroom.

Fabric and steel colour

Atelier is shown with a warm cognac fabric on black steel. You choose the fabric when you order, and we can powder coat the frame in another colour if black does not suit the room. We send the available fabrics and colours on request before you order.

How to order

Order the standard version at the price shown and name your fabric and frame colour in the order comment at checkout; for a custom headboard height, ask for a quotation. The price shown is for a 160 x 200 cm mattress; the 180 and 200 cm sizes are priced higher and ordered through a quotation. We confirm your order within 2 working days without changing the price or the delivery cost, and you pay by bank transfer after our confirmation. The standard version is paid in full after our confirmation; a made-to-measure bed takes a 50% deposit before production starts and the remaining 50% once the bed is finished. You can collect the bed free of charge from our workshop, or choose delivery in Poland, Spain, Italy or the United Kingdom at the flat rate shown at checkout (for the UK, import VAT and duty are paid on arrival); delivery to other countries is by quotation.
