How is a steel staircase fixed to the building?
Our straight staircase has pre-drilled connection plates on both stringers: the bottom ones anchor into the floor slab and the top ones into the edge of the upper floor. A spiral staircase stands on a central column with a wide anchored base plate, and its top landing connects to the edge of the floor opening, so it needs no wall fixing. Anchors are chosen for the substrate, so tell us what the floor and upper slab are made of: concrete, timber or steel.
